Day 01: Arrive Delhi / Jaipur:

Arrive Delhi by International flight and drive to Jaipur (235 kms, 05 hrs drive). Assistance upon arrival and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur which is also known as the Pink City, it was built with Hindu rules of town planning. Pink being the traditional colour of welcome, the city was steeped in it in 1853 in honour of Prince Albert’s visit and the colour is still used. The important sights include a visit to the City Palace, part of it is the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and part of it is converted into a museum. The museum has an excellent collection of miniature paintings, manuscripts etc; its Textile & Costume and armoury section are also worth a look. Nearby is the Observatory, Jantar Mantar, built by Raja Jai Singh in mid 18th century with various instruments for specific functions and accurate readings. Drive through the “Pink City” and past the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storey building, famous for its elaborate facade with about 1000 windows to enable the ladies of the court to view the passing processions. Overnight.

Day 02: Jaipur:

Morning sightseeing tour of Amber Fort - Situated about 11 kms from Jaipur, it was the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Ascend the hill on elephant back on which the fort is situated (If elephants are not available then jeeps will be provided as alternate). Visit the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of mirrors), Jai Mahal and other palaces within the fort. Overnight.

Day 03: Jaipur / Agra:

Morning drive to Agra (260 kms, 06 hrs drive). Assistance upon arrival and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Agra - Once a capital of the Mughals, today it is famous for its world famous “dream in marble” - the Taj Mahal. Built by Mughul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his favorite Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains is a monument to love. Visit the Agra Fort, build over the Mughal period (each emperor adding to it), see various palaces and the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Overnight.

Day 04: Agra / Delhi:

Morning drive to Delhi (204 kms, 04 hrs drive). Assistance upon arrival and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Delhi (Combined) - Capital of India, it is a juxtaposition of the old and the new. The sightseeing tour includes Panoramic visit to Red Fort - built in 17th century by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and the last great architectural work of this great builder; walk through the dense network of narrow alleys of Chandni Chowk - the shopping centre of Old Delhi and Rajghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi; Qutub Minar is the tallest stone tower in India built in 1199; India Gate - the War Memorial Arch and drive past the President’s Estate and Parliament buildings, through Diplomatic Enclave and Connaught Place, main commercial centre of Delhi. Day 05: Depart Delhi:

Day 05: Varanasi / Delhi:

Early Morning Boat Excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the bathing ghats and cremation site. For the Hindus, bathing in Ganges signify purifying oneself, also it is a belief that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on the banks of River Ganges leads to Nirvana - the release from the cycle of birth and death. During the boat ride one can see people taking bath at the ghats and offering prayers, also see the cremation ghats important ones being the Harishchandra and Manikarnika ghats where the funeral pyres burn 24 hours.
Morning sightseeing tour of Varanasi - Varanasi is considered to be one of the oldest cities of India, also one of seven holy cities for the Hindus, stands as a chief centre of learning. The places of interest include visit to the Bharat Mata Temple dedicated to the motherland has a big relief map of India in marble; drive through the famous Benaras Hindu University. Walk in the narrow lanes of the city passing the Vishwanath Temple (non Hindus not permitted entry) and visit the Alamgir Mosque, built on the original Vishnu temple by Aurangzeb in 17th century.

Day 05: Kathmandu:

Morning sightseeing tour of Kathmandu - Visit the Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal resident quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, Machhender Bahl - (a royal place for the Buddhists and Hindus). Temple House of Kumari and restal virgin or the living goddess. Walk around the local bazaars. Swayambhunath - a 2500 years old site where, it is believed, the Radiant Lotous of valley mythology settled when the water was drained by Manjushri, the God of Wisdom. The 5 dhyani Buddhas attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the stupa. Also visit the adjoining Museum. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bodhnath - This collosal Stupa is one of the largest in the world. The Stupa has the all seeing eyes of the Lord Buddha. It was built by king Mana Deva in expiation of his sins in the 5th century A.D. on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. Bhadgaon - A newar city of 9th century. Visit the ancient gateway. Durbar square, royal residential quarter of Bhupendra Malla, temple of Natyapole in pagoda style and other temples. Overnight.

Day 06: Kathmandu / Varanasi:

Transfer to airport to connect the flight to Varanasi.
